Crawler cranes, or lattice boom crawler cranes, are huge, tank-like cranes that have to be assembled on-site. Their height and size lets them handle loads that other cranes can’t. They usually last a long time, but sometimes they need the right parts to keep them going.
The crawler crane's capacity ranges up to 2,000 tons, with a reach up to 700 feet and 500-foot radius. With the low transport height on the crawler's undercarriage, they can be operated on rocky, uneven ground.

Terex’s cranes utilize a module system that lets you configure your crawler crane to suit your project. This system also allows for add-ons including jibs, vessel lifts and windmill kits. Multi-functional jib systems also can increase maneuverability and reach.
Here are the crawler cranes from Terex/Demag that we regularly service and source parts for.
The Terex/Demag CC 2400 Lattice Boom Crawler Crane has a 440 ton lifting capacity with a maximum boom length of 276 feet. It also incorporates Demag’s advanced IC-1 LCD touchscreen crane control system. Demag currently produces the CC 2400-1, which adds new features and upgrades over the previous model.
The Terex/Demag CC 2800 Lattice Boom Crawler Crane has a 660 ton lifting capacity with a maximum boom length of 275 feet, and up to 591 feet with a luffing fly jib extension. It has an especially simple assembly, and an improved setup to allow shorter rigging times. The CC 2800 also incorporates Quadro-Drive and Demag’s advanced IC-1 LCD touchscreen crane control system. Demag currently produces the Demag CC 2800-1, which adds new features and upgrades over the previous model. There is also a Narrow Track option, the CC 2800-1 NT, which allows this crane to be transported on narrow roads.
The Terex/Demag CC 3800 Lattice Boom Crawler Crane has 650 ton lifting capacity. It features Very simple assembly and short rigging time and excellent lifting capacities throughout the whole working range.

DEMAG CC 8800-1
The Terex-Demag CC 8800-1 is a crawler crane with a maximum lift capacity of 1760 tons. It features maximum boom length can be between 275.6 feet and 511.8 feet. The maximum jib length 393.7 feet The carrier and the superstructure of the CC 8800-1 are extremely durable to withstand the massive weight that the crane can lift. The car body, cross axles, and side frames of the carrier are all made from high strength fine grain structural steel. Two hydraulic motors drive the crawlers through closed planetary gear units running in oil bath and are equipped with spring loaded, hydraulically released holding brakes. The Terex IC-1 control system includes two multicolor monitors, a load indicator, automatic power control, standard working range limiter and a ground pressure indicator.
DEMAG CC 8800-1 TWIN
The Terex/Demag CC 8800-1 TWIN is a massive crawler crane with a maximum lift capacity of 3500 tons. The already powerful 8800-1 is strengthened by an extra boom. The engine of the crane is a diesel OM 502 LA. This engine is rated at 516 horsepower and complies with Tier III regulations. Four hydraulic motors total power the crawlers.
TEREX-AMERICAN HC 80
The Terex-American HC 80 is a crawler crane with a maximum lift capacity of 80 tons. The maximum length of the boom is 200 feet and the maximum jib length is 60 feet. The engine of the HC 80 is a Cummins QSB 6.7. The Terex HC 80 is one of the most easily transportable cranes in its class.
